Your First Visit

The initial visit usually requires a half hour and is complimentary. During that time Dr. Kouvaris will conduct a comprehensive clinical evaluation. For our patients who are children, this is when we'll determine if the time is appropriate to begin treatment, or if treatment should be delayed until further growth and dental development occur. For adults and teens, the initial examination will allow us to explain the best course of treatment and give an understanding of the cost involved.

If treatment is indicated at the initial visit, your first step is the preparation of diagnostic records. This consists of impressions or a digital scan for study models, a complete set of x-rays, and photographs of the mouth and face. The compiled information enables us to carefully review the nature of your orthodontic concerns and develop a treatment plan that addresses your specific needs. Treatment options will be presented that may include braces, Invisalign, or other orthodontic appliances. We encourage our patients to expalin their personal goals of orthodontic treatment to ensure we can meet and exceed those expectations. A fee for the orthodontic services will be presented with flexible payment options, and an estimate of your insurance benefit will be given.
